OUR SERVICES
As a HETAS approved installer, Home-Sweep is authorised to install and commission wood burners and multi-fuel stoves.
Our staff has completed the HETAS H003 Dry Appliance Installer Course and HETAS H006 System Chimney Installer Course so you can be confident that your installer has the necessary training to install a wood-burning or multi-fuel stove.

Before purchasing a stove, you should check whether you live in a smoke control area. If so, by law you can only install a Defra Approved appliance.
Home-Sweep is a member of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps and our staff are HETAS approved for chimney sweeping. We charge £60 for a standard chimney sweep up to two storeys.
Home-Sweep guarantees that you will receive the following with your sweeping service:

Home-Sweep supply and fit a variety of bird guards, cowls and capping. All products are supplied by Brewer, Colt and MAD, and all reach or surpass the current British standard for their application.

Using the correct cowl or cap can have a very positive effect on the performance and safety of your appliance, whether it is a multi-fuel or wood-burning stove. Learn more about caps and cowls on our blog.
Home-Sweep are HETAS approved for the installation of twin walled flexible steel liners and rigid chimney systems both internal and external.
Home-Sweep also carries out pressure tests in order to determine whether your chimney needs to be lined.

Chimney liners improve stove efficiency and if properly maintained, eliminate seepage and therefore minimise the potential for carbon monoxide seepage.
